What is the Baby Stool Status Checker?

Your baby's stool status tells you a lot about their health and diet. Color and consistency continuously change depending on diet and current health status.

💩 Normal Stools

  • Breastfed babies: Yellow, seed-like particles, loose consistency
  • Formula-fed babies: Yellowish-brown, peanut butter-like texture
  • After starting solids: Brown, slightly firmer consistency

🟢 Green Stools

Mostly normal but can appear in the following cases:

  • • When mother eats a lot of green vegetables
  • • When feeding time is short and only foremilk is consumed
  • • When taking iron supplements

⚠️ Cases Requiring Attention

  • White/Gray stools: Possible bile problem, visit hospital immediately
  • Black stools: Consultation needed if continues after 1 week of age
  • Red/Bloody stools: Possible bleeding, visit hospital
  • Persistent watery stools: Risk of dehydration, consult doctor
  • Very hard stools: Constipation, need to increase water intake

📊 Bowel Movement Frequency

  • Newborn: 8-10 times per day (breastfed) / 3-4 times (formula-fed)
  • 1-3 months: 2-4 times per day or once every few days is normal
  • After 6 months: 1-2 times per day
  • After 1 year: Once per day or once every two days
